Our Veterinarians
	James Reed, VMD Dr. Reed is a native of Sandy Lake, Pa. in Mercer County. He received his Bachelors degree from Clarion and a Masters from Duquesne. In 1984 he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with his Veterinary Medical degree.   From 1984 to 1988 Dr. Reed worked as an associate veterinarian at Northview Animal Hospital. In 1988 he purchased Dr. Donald Reeser's practice and renamed it Bakerstown Animal Hospital. As a general practioner he especially enjoys internal medicine and geriatrics.   Dr. Reed and his wife Carolyn reside in Hampton Township. They have three children: Julianna, Emma, and Stephen. Their pets are Gus and Charlotte,a dachsund and a dachsund/cocker spaniel mix, and Oliver their cat.   In his spare time he enjoys fly fishing and fly tying.
	Paige Mitchell, DVM Dr. Mitchell was originally from the Saxonburg area and received her B.S. in Biology from The Pennsylvania State University. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1992 She joined Bakerstown Animal Hospital as an associate and enjoys internal medicine cases as well as preventative medicine. Dr. Mitchell resides in Middlesex Township and shares her home with her Doberman Kendall and her two Birman cats Blue and Rippin. She enjoys traveling (especially cruising) and listening to Il Divo!
